WorkSafeBC Level 1 Foundational Awareness 201 (ACT 201) is the second of two courses within Level 1 of the Asbestos Certification Program. You're required to successfully complete ACT 101 prior to taking this course. Upon registering for Level 1 Certification, you will have a 60-day window to successfully complete this online course. If you do not finish it within this timeframe, you will need to repurchase the course.

Earning CPD points each year is a mandatory part of renewing a BC Housing Residential Builder Licence. A Residential Builder Licence term is 1-year, and BC Housing requires that CPD points be earned each year to maintain and renew standing. The BCCSA is a pre-approved education provider for general contractors to earn CPD points while acquiring occupational health & safety knowledge and skills.

If your employer is registered with WorkSafeBC in the Construction Sector under Classification Unit (CU) 72, or 704008, or 712033, you qualify for either NO-COST or AT-COST training on select BCCSA courses.
To take advantage of this benefit, simply provide your valid CU number when registering for a course. A deposit will be charged at registration but will be refunded upon successful course completion. If you don't meet the qualification criteria, you will be charged the full course fee upon completion.
