Making Safety Simpler

BCCSA

NCSO® / NHSA™ Designation

NCSO®/NHSA™ Training Blocks

NCSO & NHSA Designations

The application process for the NCSO®/NHSA™ designation is self-paced, allowing applicants to schedule courses individually based on availability.

To streamline the process, the BCCSA offers a training block option for applicants who haven’t yet completed the compulsory NCSO®/NHSA™ courses. This block simplifies course registration by grouping required courses together. Note that the training block only applies to BCCSA instructor-led courses; eLearning courses are not included.

Principles of Health and Safety Management (PHSM) is a pre-requisite for COR® Internal Auditor Training. Therefore, it must be completed before registering for the training block.

Choose one of the following options below to register for a training block:

Option 1: Self-registration
Follow the course schedule below and self-register for each course. You can use these blocks to plan and organize your schedule. To self-register for the below courses using BCCSA's course, locate them in BCCSA's training schedule here and register for each course individually.

Option 2: BCCSA Managed Registration
BCCSA can register you for all BCCSA NCSO®/NHSA™ required courses. To complete option 2, please complete the following:

  1. Create a BCCSA account. Ensure that your account has a credit card on file.
  2. Email training@bccsa.ca indicating which training block you would like to register for.
  3. BCCSA will then register you for your courses.

We recommend that applicants complete the compulsory fall protection, first aid, and elective training courses prior to enrolling in the NCSO®/NHSA™ training block courses. This approach ensures that applicants are adequately prepared to take the NCSO®/NHSA™ exams upon completion of the training block. Please see our list of approved training providers here.

Below you will find a pre-set schedule with multiple training blocks offered throughout the year.
